The Hanky Code
Back in the day, gay and bi men wore different colored hankies in their pockets to signify to others that they were interested in specific types of guys or sexual activities. While this "code" is not as commonly used in the 21st century, every once in awhile you can still spot a colored hanky hanging out of the back of a guy's blue jeans. It also seems that this trend may be making a comeback, as a new generation of gay/bi guys gets in on the act.
Here's a primer on what you may be insinuating by the little piece of fabric sticking out of your pants. As a general rule, if you are wearing your hanky in your left back pocket that means that you are the "Top", or aggressor, and wearing your hanky in the right pocket means you are the more passive "Bottom".
